when I try to run RakeSearch I get now constant security alerts from McAffee
File Name: CanCPUCoreAssa.exe
Path: *\Boinc\Slots\5
Threat Type: Real Protect-LS! 16f24c88d260

If that is a false positive can you submit it as a false positive to McAffee perhaps?

I believe not all RakeSearch subprojects use CanCPUCoreAssa.exe
Can you please advise which subprojects are "safe" / not using that .exe ?

I did opt out from "Generalized symmetries in parastrophic slices for DLS of order 10"

But my machine still downloaded work for that project - can you fix that?

Is Project preferences and Computer Venue are same?

I do not have separate computer locations (Home/work etc) in the settings.

"If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" - that had a tick and I removed it now.

Will let you know if that fixes the issue the next time the machine requests work.

and following settings are in place

Last item is ticked no but still work units are downloaded for it which causes issues with McAffee

The executable is probably still located in the project directory.

YOU YOURSELF NEED TO REPORT THE FALSE POSITIVE TO MCAFEE.

UNTIL THEN IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE FLAGGED.

1) Did you uncheck the box for "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" in correct venue [see below] and save changes?

2) Did you do it in the correct venue (default), home, work, school that your computer(s) running the project in?

3) Wild guess... Disable / uncheck "Run test applications" in preferences, save and see if they still download?

I did uncheck the box for "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" before already - I did check now again and the tick was back so I
re-did it and now it stopped downloading the alert and error causing WUs
