Will there be checkpoints when crunching new tasks?

BTW could this project be multi-threaded like Amicable Numbers?

In fact (as in many (but not all!) other cases of Distrbuted Computing) this achieved by splitting global task on workunits that can be computed in parallel.
In some cases long time of task processing may be uncomfortable, but have a some clear advantages: 1) No problem with tasks cache; 2) Significantly decreased load on server and project database; 3) "Damage" from disappeared computers descrease also.

Fair enough.

PS

I will join Michael H W Weber in question about about credits for R10 works.

Hello Hal!

One task is predicted to finish within 6hrs on i7-4770. Is this right time?

Yes, it normal. Computation time for each workunit and task must increased.

Thanks hoarfrost. I interpreted "runtime increased in several times" in your first post as tasks will run faster :-D.
I guess I needed more morning coffee today.

BTW could this project be multi-threaded like Amicable Numbers?

I would prefer quoted text with font of this size

I understand that I can format messages to my liking before posting but looking at other posts seems like nobody is bothered to format the text when quoting. I can live with it, I am not trying to force anyone to like smaller fonts.

Would it be possible to change the size of the font used in quoted replies?
I think it would improve visibility and ease reading.
7) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Project not reading app_config file (Message 964)

Post:
Settings in app_config can be re-read when using the BOINC read config file function. BOINCTasks specifies app_config in the button. The event log will show this and any possible errors in the syntax. app_info.xml files require a client restart.

I agree. I tried this in first place and got only message about re-reading configuration file (see my first post).

Hi hoarfrost,

Restarting Boinc client helped and project is crunching as per app_config file.
Should have tried this in first place.

I run RakeSearch (Opti v1.0) 7.02 app I created app_config.xml file to run 3 tasks at once.

<app_config>
 <app>
  <name>rakesearch</name>
  <user_friendly_name>RakeSearch (Opti v1.0)</user_friendly_name>
   <max_concurrent>3</max_concurrent>
 </app>
</app_config>

However these settings are ignored and Boinc keeps crunching more than three tasks. When I hit 'Read config files' Boinc manager logs shows this only

 Re-reading cc_config.xml
