You need to add or make a change to the cc_config.xml file located in your BOINC DATA FOLDER using a TEXT EDITOR such as Windows Notepad(.exe) Make sure you exit BOINC before editing the file AND MAKE A BACKUP COPY in case you break something. The folder might be hidden and is by default located at C:\ProgramData\BOINC The part you need to edit or add is detailed below. <options> <report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>** </options>

6) Message boards : Number crunching : Only Joint search of ODLS12 with Gerasim project (%) tasks (Message 1913) Posted 4 Oct 2024 by Dr Who Fan Post: From your home page go to: Preferences for this project RakeSearch preferences Once there scroll to Edit preferences for the venue your PC(s) are in for the project (unless you have changed it it will be the first one, "Primary (default) preferences") Once at the proper venue page scroll down to Run only the selected applications Check/uncheck the boxes by the task type you do and don't want to run (empty box == not run). Make sure the "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" box is unchecked/empty. Scroll down to the Green Update button near bottom of page, click on it to save changes. Open the BOINC program on your PC(s), tap on the Application tab, scroll down to the listing for this project and click update so BOINC can receive the updated instructions.

8) Questions and Answers : Windows : McAffee alert when trying to run RakeSearch (Message 1708) Posted 3 Oct 2022 by Dr Who Fan Post: I did reset the project Also I did opt out of the related sub project but it still downloads Workunits for it... 1) Did you uncheck the box for "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" in correct venue [see below] and save changes? 2) Did you do it in the correct venue (default), home, work, school that your computer(s) running the project in? 3) Wild guess... Disable / uncheck "Run test applications" in preferences, save and see if they still download?

YOU YOURSELF NEED TO REPORT THE FALSE POSITIVE TO MCAFEE. UNTIL THEN IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE FLAGGED.
10) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Не могу получить задания от сервера (Message 1639) Posted 12 Jul 2022 by Dr Who Fan Post: Alas I don't have 64 bit Windows computers, just 64 bit Linux. So no work for me for 2 years now, so many points and badges I have missed out on. Will Linux work ever return? Install & run WINE on your Linux system. Then Download, Install latest STABLE WINDOWS BOINC version (7.16.20) without vbox under WINE and add/attach to projects manually/by URL. Note: I don't think you can run BOTH Linux and Windows versions simultaneously on same PC under WINE, haven't tried. Most projects install/load/run on WINE for me.

Even if you try as http or try using Chrome based browser you get error message. Secure Connection Failed The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue. Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust https://gerasim.boinc.ru because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates .

Remove the app_info.xml file from the project folder, shut down and restart BOINC or you can reset the project so you can get the new project apps, etc.

Been receiving LOTS (50)+ BAD TASKS Your hosts hidden, but we can view failed tasks later - in database. My host are NOT hidden.... I have the check box checked/filled for Should RakeSearch show your computers on its web site? I never had a problem linking to my public viewable task list at other projects in the past. Could it be there has been some change to the base/default BOINC SERVER CODE removing the ability to view other peoples task list recently?
