There is a script to clean database from such accounts. It just deletes all accounts without results

We use this script, but there are still legal accounts that should not be deleted, such as certain team founders who register but do not attach hosts. So even this script requires manual checking, which became too large...

Thanks everyone for advice! We added an invitation code on the front page. Web registration form will ask for it. From a client, it is still possible to create an account without a code. BAM! will require invitation code, we have requested their webmaster for that.

We will see how it goes. Today, there are ~40 spammer accounts every day, quite many for manual removal.

Dear participants,

we are going to restrict registration via the website. New users will be allowed to register only via the client. It is due to a large number of spammer accounts. We plan to do this on January 6th. If you have any objections please write them on the forum.

UPD: for web registration please use invitation code written on the front page.

With best regards, Natalia.

Hello! Yes, each vertex is a unique diagonal Latin square. For every pair of vertices, they are connected by an edge if they are mutually orthogonal, and not connected otherwise. So, each graph is a complete mathematical structure, nothing to add and nothing to remove.

It is faster to reconstruct such a graph by just one pair of vertices + edge than to find all possible orthogonal pairs. That's why the search for pairs is done on BOINC, and the reconstruction of a full graph is done at the server.

Hello morgan! You are very right about the Marten, and we also forgot the Mink. We asked some colleagues (many have a hobby of hunting and gathering in forests), and they say that in principle Racoon can be met sometimes, but it does not do much harm to households. Probably, because bigger animals leave it behind.

Dear folks,

tomorrow (October 9th, 03:00-07:00 UTC) the server may be unavailable for short periods of time. We will test the project moving to a Docker server and to HTTPS.

Also, on this weekend we performed a large removal of spammer accounts, and if your account was accidentally deleted, please write us and we will recover it.

Thank you for attention and participation!

Dear Conan,

thank you for ideas. It is nice to see people reacting and proposing new things. We thought of 3 more large animals to proceed that series of badges.
As I understand, the Moose is an American kind (or just the word is), and the Elk is Eurasian. And we definitely have no tigers! :) They live only in the Far East (Pacific coast of Russia). Also, no wild bulls of any kind.

We also think of starting a new series of badges, for the total number of findings instead of the credit. It can be birds of Karelia because they "collect" findings.

Dear crunchers!

Today, on August 11, we proudly celebrate the first birthday of RakeSearch project.

It is a joy for us to have managed such project for already a year. This is 1316 years of CPU time - which means that on average, 1316 cores perform computations.

By now, we have processed 27.5% of all possible workunits. This resulted in 90 found graphs of ODLSs.

On the peak load the project reached 60.6 Teraflops.

Many thanks for the participation and good wishes to all of you!

With best wishes, RakeSearch team:
hoarfrost and Natalia.
37) Message boards : News : Formula BOINC RakeSearch GP race report and medal ceremony (Message 536)

Post:
The weekend from 27th to 29th of July was hot and fruitful! The most active teams, at these days, were racing on RakeSearch track for taking a leadership in leagues, points, and science, of course.

But the noise of engines was firstly heard before - when on Wednesday and Thursday teams began to open pit-late and deploy big harvesters on the project track and bunkering tasks harversted by them, into huge crunch tanks. The battle for the pole-position bettween XtremeSystems, [H]ard|OCP, SETI.USA and Team AnandTech was intense but hidden, and the usage of tasks harvests became a strategic secret.

From the start XtremeSystems went ahead, SETI.USA, [H]ard|OCP and Team AnandTech fought for 2-4 places, other teams formed an active, but backwarding peloton. Powerful buzzing monsters flying over project track, computed tasks, flew in pit-lane, pouring-out results, filled the fuel tanks by new tasks and raced again!
In the middle of the race, the set of computed results became so big, that it began to fall on the track and the race directorate deployed a validators safety car. After several minutes of restart, the race resumed and teams rushed to a finish gate! The fate of most places decided on finish line - Rechenkraft.net won 7th place against Russia Team, Crunching@EVGA overtook Czech National Team for 5th place. [H]ard|OCP had more bunkered tasks and made a great pursuit from 4 position passing by TeAm AnandTech and SETI.USA but XstremeSystems kept a large gap, managed a leadership to finish and won the race!

And it is time for the medal ceremony! Each team that won a medal can download it and and place on their website!

1st place - XtremeSystems

2nd place - [H]ard|OCP

3rd place - SETI.USA

4th place - TeAm AnandTech

5th place - Crunching@EVGA

6th place - Czech National Team

7th place - Rechenkraft.net
