What for checkpointing, it is problematic to implement checkpoints in this experiment, because the sub-trees on which we perform exhaustive search are very different in sizes. If we do a checkpoint at higher tiers of the tree, it is very likely that 9 of 10 sub-trees will be processed very fast, and the 10th will take several hours, so no sense in a checkpoint. If we go into the recursion 1-2 tiers deeper, the check for need of a checkpoint will be performed too often and increase the whole runtime of a task several-fold. Yes. But time check must be placed in code. If the check placed on one tier higher, it won't make sense, if placed on one tier lower - affect the performance. |

Great! By the way, what achievement is necessary to be awarded one of the month badges like the Oriolus "Findings at the November 2020 joint search..." And shouldn't it read 2021 instead of 2020? Saludos... |

Hi, How can I detect a finding? I've run some WU of the new search. Scanning the result files show two different variants: files with a zero in the second line 0123456789AB123498B5A0...... 0 and files with a non zero number in the second line 0123456789AB123498B5A0675..... 26700 Is this a notice of a finding, if not, how then looks a result file with a finding? Hi! Yes, a non-zero number indicates there have been found ODLSs in this task. |

That's nice. Are the individual ODLS findings going to be added to the user accounts as before? Michael. President of Rechenkraft.net. Fördern, kooperieren und konstruieren statt fordern, konkurrieren und konsumieren. |

Hello Michael! Are the individual ODLS findings going to be added to the user accounts as before? It's impossible. The number of found orthogonal squares for some workuinits is counts of tens thousands. |

Hello! May I know what the project is looking for: transversals, D-transversals or ODLS of order 12? The first challenge is to beat the current record on the number of transversals for DLSs of order 12. We already have tasks for the next 2 months, and there will be more. 0123456789AB123498B5A0675..... What does the number 26700 mean? |

Good day! May I know what the project is looking for: transversals, D-transversals or ODLS of order 12? We hope that details will be published in future publications and we will be able to simply refer to them. What does the number 26700 mean? It's a raw number - item for post-processing of project results. |

Hello! There was another answer to this example 0123456789AB123498B5A0675..... Hi! Yes, a non-zero number indicates there have been found ODLSs in this task. From this answer, I understand that the number 26700 here means the number of ODLSs. |

Dear participants, we append info tasks queue bunch of tasks with short deadline, equals 1 day. We expect these tasks to be fully sent out in 12 hours. Subsequent tasks will have the usual 7-day deadline. Thank you for participation and donation of CPU time! |

I think it would be good to put links to the results published as separate news here: Square # 4 (1st square at this moment by number of ODLS) Square # 5 (3rd square at this moment). Thank you! |
