Attached to the project & setup an account online but Boinc Manager isn't properly initializing so I'm getting no work (on two Linux systems).

Suggest you check the server time as the BM log flags I set suggest the server thinks it's 1997 (header).

Also, is the reverse DNS pointer record setup?

Try to reset the project
BM will receive a master file with a new scheduler address (instead of the old ip address with a non-standard port)
Old WUs were left with the old wrong address, but new ones will already be with new links to files

I reset the project. Was not attached when you only had an IP (no domain).
That seemed to allow the project to initialize but now I cant download tasks. I get them but they don't download.
Getting Project backoff.
Log says, Project servers may be temporarily donw.
Temporary failed download, Transient HTTP errors.

Did you try to create cc_config.xml with

<cc_config>   <options>     <http_1_0>1</http_1_0>   </options> </cc_config>

?

Thanks, tried that but the problem turned out to be a firewall issue, not on my systems or with the ISP, but on a local router!
Will need to man-manage the router to contribute here. For now I have downloaded work & it's running...
