2 Hour Deadline
(Message 1974)
Posted 1 May 2025 by ![]() Post: I don't really give a F if they are short. A 2 hour deadline means BOINC Mgr will interrupt ALL other task to run it. Some projects do not have any checkpoints and hours of work could have been wasted for 2 min of Rakesearch work. No deadline should be less than several days. Excellent point ... not fair to other Projects or Volunteers Bill F |

Joint search of ODLS9 with Gerasim project
(Message 1478)
Posted 1 May 2021 by ![]() Post: Dear participants! I am involved in the Joint Search for ODLS9 my question is what is the future of this project and site. Will there be more work here or should we save the bandwidth, scheduling and electricity by deleting the RakeSearch project from our systems ? Thanks Bill F |

The last bunch of tasks were generated
(Message 1306)
Posted 1 Jun 2020 by ![]() Post: Your initial posting that the last batch of WU's had been distributed implied that the RakeSearch project was coming completely to an end, but did not actually say that it was. For clarity please state if we should expect any future projects / applications from RakeSearch or it we are free to remove the whole project from our BOINC clients. Thanks Bill F Dallas TX |
