If I understood right, you see a situation like this. It's not often, but a usual situation. Some tasks - is significantly larger, than others.

Thank you for participation!

Dear participants!

Very unusual half of winter with the air temperature between -5..+3 has passed. (But maybe a normal one if we review not last scores but last thousands of years!) The last weeks are not a time of snow, but a time of ice that formed at night from snow melted during the day. And crystals of ice from a nice photography became the basis of badge of this month! 131 participants received it and we congratulate them:

Dear participants!

On September 24, we made a report about RakeSearch project in the conference Russian Supercomputing Days'2019. Our paper about it was included in an issue of Communications in Computer and Information Science, volume 1129. Due to copyright limitations, we cannot put the full text into public access, but we place a link into the personal account page of any participant who passed the 5000 Cobblestones milestone of the total credit.

Thank you for participation!

Pardon me, my request was worded badly. I was referring to finding a "high degree of orthogonality" for the month kind of link, where finding a degree >81 nets you a monthly badge.

Hi Steve! Your message is absolutely clear but I read it from a smartphone. :) Results from R10 search in several tens of times larger than R9. I will try to estimate the implementation of this idea.

Any chance you could add a link to our account page similar to the "Results with ODLS pairs" found link that lets us know if we've found any pairs of rank 10 that satisfy the monthly badge requirement?

Yes. If the project found "permutational" ODLS pairs of rank 10, we made it.

Thank you, Joe!

Some news: we try to include this application into the project as an "official application" for Raspberry Pi and other ARM-based Linux systems. Due to a diversity of real types of platforms (ARM v6/v7/v8 32-bit/64-bit) we register this application as an application for platform "arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf - Linux running on ARM, hardware FP". To switch to this application you need disable receiving tasks from the project, complete currently received tasks, add into cc_config.xml alt_platform option (or create this file if this does not exist) and restart BOINC:

<cc_config>
    <options>
        <alt_platform>arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf</alt_platform>
    </options>
</cc_config>

Raspberry Pi # 30 000 000 was sold about a week ago! Even 0.1% of these single-board computers is a great computing power, several times larger than the current computing capability of RakeSearch.

Dear folks!

The first half of December of over and we can sum it up! 40139 workunits were completed and computers of 118 participants found pairs with a high degree of orthogonality. Each of them receives the "Autumn larch" badge (which was made from the nice photograph of 4h4photography). A tall tree with strong roots, hardwood and unusual for the coniferous annual dropping of needles - a good symbol of farewell to autumn and a meeting with winter!

Dear participants!

This November is unusually warm. Autumn does not want to give its last weeks to winter, filling them by fog and rains. And maybe the best symbol of the month like this - a moss! We are used to it and often pass by, not paying attention to moss. But it's very unusual plants! Mosses (and generally - bryophytes) is a separate and parallel branch of land plants with different from other plants' internal structure and organization of the lifecycle and maybe it is one of the first forms of life, that began to inhabit the surface of the continents, emerging from the Earth oceans. About four hundreds of millions of years ago, during Silurian and Devonian periods, lines of ancestors of the modern divisions of plants - are dispersed and the bryophyte line strategy was not the most successful - branches of vascular plants spread above the ground and bryophytes left to live in their shadow. But how much benefit they have brought to human civilization during many and many hundreds of years! We have are many reasons to say thanks to them.
In conclusion, we congratulate the next 120 participants whose computers find pairs with a degree of orthogonality >= 86 and brought to their owners the Moss badge:

The applications works for RaspberryPi-4 too. 64bit kernel.

Thank you for information!

I would like to try to compile an aarch64 version of the application. Is the source code and makefile available?

Yes, branch RakeSearchBOINC, project RakeDiagSearchV3.

JayDoc, thank you information!
JonS, first task on my RPi runs ~130 000 seconds! But it was one of the longest tasks that I saw at that time. Now I see that CPU Time of most tasks varies between ~27000 and ~90000 seconds.

Thank you!

I've had a similar issue, in this case however tasks reach and remain at 100% but keep going while never displaying "Ready to Report".
...
Directory slots/11
...

Could you check a file slots/11/checkpoint.txt, if the task still in progress? If it changes every 1 .. 5 minutes and number of processed squares int last lines of the file increased - it is a simply large task.

respawner, JagDoc, would you share settings? It's interesting and can be useful.
JJAR, fzs600 we try to find simulator or another tool for compile application.

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm!
