I have even tried clearing the SSL stuff using the inetcpl.cpl command line and it still doesn't work

As for updating my pc it's just too old of a version to do that so I guess I'm stuck either switching to Linux or not crunching here with it

My PCs ran out so I assumed there was no work. I didn't check server status, did you?

My Win7 machine had problems in August of 2022. Couldn't make contact with the server. Worked fine before it didn't. I messed around with different ideas and nothing made it work. I had the idea of removing RakeSearch from Boinc with the idea of re-installing the connection. This was a bad idea. Since then I have had the error " Failed to install..." in Boinc. So it would seem the better idea is to leave RakeSearch in the Boinc list and crunch other projects until the admins decide they want to fix the connections with the Win7 users.

Would you try to connect to the project by URL with "http" instead of "https"?

update: Also, you can switch on tracing for http_debug in сс_config.xml or in BOINC Manager GUI.

I tried the " http " link in the Boinc manager choose a project list. This allows for the Identify your account page to appear. When entering the existing account data the process says " Failed to add project ".
