Dear participants!

A new search started in the project on September 27 - "Joint search of ODLS9 with Gerasim project". Earlier we performed a full search over the space of row-permutational diagonal Latin squares of order 9, but in this search (that we perform with Gerasim@Home project) we try to find all orthogonal diagonal Latin squares of order 9! At the first glance, the goal is unreachable, but the new search uses an heuristics that allowed to reduce the amount of computations.

In this thread we will post news about the new search.

News # G9.1: Badges!

Of course we plan to make badges. The first of them is related to Kursk - the city of South-West State University, Russia, where works the scientist of the Gerasim@Home project Eduard Vatutin.
Many people know Kursk by the biggest tank battle in history, but the symbol of Kurk is... a nightingale! And it's a symbol of search started in October (and last days of September) in our project!

I have checked your app and found that it was written in Delphi. I tried to google for Linux Delphi compilers, and found this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10109234/delphi-cross-compiler-for-linux. One of them is Lazarus, it looks promising. I also found that it can be built with LLVM support. LLVM is used as a backend by clang compiler, so compiled code should be well optimized. Please take a look on this, I am also waiting for Linux app.

Where can I see found pairs?

Files of results of this search much less visual than first search in our project. We think about methods of results publishing.

To have a check about foundings, I'm thinking about to write a cron job that pareses the boinc-slots to check, if a process have found a pair.

My question: where is a possible founding logged (which files) ?
What is written to the file (example), so I can scan for it?

The most realistic way - take a bunch of tasks, disable network interaction, wait while tasks completed and copy results files from project directory. But in results stored information about squares, that have ODLS, but not pairs.
